OUR BUILDING PROCESS
- Step 1 – Get the levels of the ground ready.
- Step 2 – Get one corner squared up.
- Step 3 – Mark out the foundations.
- Step 4 – Dig foundations.
- Step 5 – Cast foundations.
- Step 6 – Build the foundation walls.
- Step 7 – Fill in the cavity of the foundation walls.
- Step 8 – Fill and compact for the slab & place the plastic underlay & mesh.
- Step 9 – Cast the ground floor slab.
- Step 10 – Make sure the mortar mix is correct when laying the bricks.
- Step 11 – Build the ground floor brickwork.
- Step 12 – Install the precast decking system.
- Step 13 – Cast concrete to 1st floor.
- Step 14 – Build the 1st floor brickwork.
- Step 15 – Install roof trusses and roof covering.
- Step 16 – Plaster walls.
- Step 17 – Install ceilings.
- Step 18 – Install aluminium windows and doors.
- Step 19 – Install all doors.
- Step 20 – Paint the house.
- Step 21 – Tile bathrooms and floors.
- Step 22 – Install mixers and basins.
- Step 23 – Install the light fittings and plugs.
- Step 24 – Install the skirting then the carpets.
- Step 25 – Fit the pergolas.
- Step 26 – Install the paving.

Client"Simon built a reasonably large home for me in Stonehurst in 2014. The scope of the work required complete building from start to finish, with no architectural supervision. At all times Simon was transparent in all discussions. The quoting process was lengthy as there were several aspects that needed to be debated and clarified. Building commenced once a price had been agreed for the construction plus all the PC amounts. There were some initial problems due to unforeseen ground conditions and Simon looked at several options as potential solutions, whilst at all times being conscious of a quality outcome at a sensible price. Simon was able to guide cost effective suppliers for PC items and solutions for all matters as they arose and the final project was completed within the deadline and within the agreed budget The construction was done to my complete satisfaction with great attention to detail. I was particularly impressed by Simon’s ‘unflappable’ attitude and genuine concern to ensure that all costs remained well contained I am aware of numerous other premium end homes that RDA has built and I know that those owners were equally pleased with Simon’s work.
